There are many opportunities to explore the region, whether on foot, by bike, or by bicycle.

Many hiking trails and cycling routes surround your accommodation. The GRP Tour du Lac de Serre-Ponçon, for example, allows you to appreciate magnificent scenery.

The legendary Col du Galibier, 80km away, awaits cyclists, as does the Col de l’Izoard, 50km away. You can enjoy these two must-see sites by motorcycle and indulge yourself on remarkable roads.

A true gem of the region, Lake Serre-Ponçon awaits you, just a few kilometers from your campsite. Enjoy walks along the hiking trails and swims in its enchanting waters, as well as a variety of water sports. We recommend trying kitesurfing, canoeing, or paddleboarding.

With its breathtaking views of Lake Serre-Ponçon and the surrounding mountains, Embrun will charm you.

The Durance River, very close to the campsite, offers opportunities for rafting, kayaking, or hydrospeeding. It's a chance to experience new thrills.

The winter season is ideal for trying out numerous activities: skiing, sledding, snowshoeing… The resorts near the campsite allow you to fully enjoy them. Within 20km, you will find Les Orres and Crévoux. Risoul and Vars are 30km away.

Markets and amenities

Markets are the ideal place to discover local cuisine and meet producers. The market in Châteauroux-les-Alpes is held on Tuesdays, and the one in Guillestre takes place on Monday mornings. You can also stroll among the stalls at the Embrun markets on Wednesday and Saturday mornings. In the center of the village of Châteauroux-les-Alpes, 1.8 km away, you will also have the opportunity to discover some local products in the bakery, grocery store, bar, or restaurant.
